Doctor Love (aka DJ Chris Steel) is a music lover and disc jockey hailing from Auckland, New Zealand. From running kids discos, to private parties and wedding day dance floors, there is nothing he loves more than spinning tunes that make people move!

He’s not just behind the decks — he’s part of the party. Chris brings an infectious, feel-good vibe, loving every moment as he crafts the soundtrack to your night. And just when your guests think they’ve seen it all, he’ll surprise them with his signature lip syncing and outfit changes, lifting the energy even higher.

While his early musical journey began with his dad’s playlist of Neil Young and Fleetwood Mac. As a teenager he lived on a diet of 90’s punk and Seattle grunge but secretly, the CD roms of Daft Punk and Underworlds ‘Born Slippy’ had started to shake his musical landscape… As his appreciation grew, so did his passion for the dance floor and with his pop-punk days now behind him, he’s embraced the mantra “follow the call of the disco ball.”

From delivering modern-day bangers like Fred Again to timeless anthems by Queen, Dr Love knows exactly how to get every generation moving. Whether it’s a wedding, corporate event, or a milestone celebration, Chris is your go-to DJ for a dance floor packed with energy, and a few surprises.
